Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of sidanclaw, a personal AI assistant service operated by Sidan Lab ("we", "us", "our"). By using sidanclaw at sidan.ai or through connected messaging platforms, you agree to these terms.

1. The service

sidanclaw is an AI-powered personal assistant that remembers your conversations and preferences across sessions. It is available through a web interface and messaging platforms (Telegram, Slack). The assistant can connect to third-party services (Google Calendar, Gmail, Google Docs, Sheets & Slides, Notion, Slack) when you explicitly authorize it.

2. Accounts

You must be at least 13 years old and sign in with a Google account to use sidanclaw. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. One person per account — shared or automated accounts are not permitted.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use sidanclaw to generate content that is illegal, harmful, or violates third-party rights.
• Attempt to extract, reverse-engineer, or probe the underlying AI models or system prompts.
• Use the service to send spam, phishing messages, or other unsolicited communications through connected services.
• Circumvent usage limits, rate limits, or access controls.
• Share your account credentials or access tokens with others.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

4. Plans and billing

sidanclaw offers a free tier and paid plans. Paid plans are billed monthly. Prices are listed on our pricing page and do not include applicable taxes. Usage limits apply per plan — when you exceed your limit, the model may downgrade one tier until your next billing cycle. We do not charge surprise overage fees.

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods.

5. Your data

You retain ownership of the content you provide to sidanclaw. By using the service, you grant us a limited license to process your data as necessary to provide the service (e.g., sending messages to AI model providers, storing memories, executing actions through connected services).

6. AI-generated content

sidanclaw uses third-party AI models to generate responses. AI outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying any information or actions the assistant provides. We are not liable for decisions made based on AI-generated content.

7. Connected services

When you connect third-party services (Google Calendar, Gmail, Google Docs, Sheets & Slides, Notion, Slack), sidanclaw acts on your behalf within those services. You are responsible for the actions the assistant takes through your connected accounts. You can revoke access to any connected service at any time from your settings.

8. Availability and changes

We aim to keep sidanclaw available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features with reasonable notice. We will not delete your stored data without notice except as required by law.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, sidanclaw and Sidan Lab are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Sidan Lab, its officers, and employees from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of sidanclaw, your violation of these terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

11. Dispute resolution

Before filing a formal claim, you agree to contact us at contact@sidan.io to attempt to resolve the dispute informally. If we cannot resolve the dispute within 30 days, either party may pursue formal proceedings in the courts of Hong Kong SAR.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the app. Continued use of sidanclaw after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Hong Kong SAR, without regard to conflict of law principles.
