Data Deletion Instructions

This page explains how to delete data sidanclaw holds about you, accessible without signing in. For the full policy on what data we hold and how we handle it, see our Privacy Policy.
Delete your sidanclaw account
To delete your entire sidanclaw account and all associated data:
- Sign in at sidan.ai with the email or Google account you used to register.
- Go to Settings → Privacy → Delete account.
- Confirm the prompt. Your account is queued for permanent deletion.
All associated data (conversation messages, memories, scheduled jobs, connected-service tokens, and analytics events tied to your account) is permanently deleted within 30 days of confirmation. The deletion is irreversible.
Disconnect a specific third-party connector (without deleting your account)
If you only want to revoke our access to a single third-party service and keep your sidanclaw account active:
- Google Calendar / Gmail / Google Docs / Notion / Slack / Fathom and similar service connectors: Sign in at sidan.ai → Settings → Connectors → Disconnect next to the service.
- Threads (Meta) / X (Twitter), distribution connectors: Sign in at feed.sidan.ai → open the relevant workspace → Disconnect next to the platform.
In either case, the encrypted access token for that service is permanently deleted from our database (not deactivated), and any background poller for that service (for example, the Threads mention poller) is stopped immediately. The third-party account itself is unaffected; you may also wish to revoke sidanclaw's authorization from that provider's own settings page (e.g., Meta's "Apps and Websites" page for Threads).
If you cannot sign in
If you have lost access to the email or Google account associated with your sidanclaw account, email us at contact@sidan.io from any address you control with:
- The email address associated with the sidanclaw account you want deleted.
- Any other identifying information (such as the workspace name or the Threads/Google handle you connected).
- A clear request to delete the account.
We will verify your control of the account through one or more out-of-band signals (such as a confirmation email to the registered address) before processing the deletion, to prevent malicious deletion requests. We will respond within 5 business days and complete deletion within 30 days of verification.
Threads-specific deletion
If you used the Threads (Meta) connector, disconnect it from sidanclaw via feed.sidan.ai → your workspace → Disconnect next to Threads. The disconnect immediately and permanently deletes:
- The encrypted Threads access token stored in our database.
- The Threads handle, display name, and profile-picture URL stored for that integration.
It also stops the mention poller for that account immediately, so no further mentions are fetched.
The platform-side audit log (records of posts you published through sidanclaw, mentions received, replies sent, drafts you reviewed) is retained while your sidanclaw account is active (useful for re-connection continuity and your own historical reference) and is permanently deleted when you delete your sidanclaw account (via the cascade from your assistant row). To purge the audit log without keeping your sidanclaw account, use the account-deletion flow above.
The posts and replies themselves remain on your Threads account; sidanclaw never copies or stores Threads post content beyond what's needed to render your in-app inbox.
